About the Publication
A serious home for writing about care.
The BeBe House began as a practical decision: to build a serious home for writing about care in the earliest years of life. We publish slowly because this subject is not casual. Early care is daily labor with public consequences, whether anyone names it that way or not.
Our Editorial Approach
These essays stay close to lived reality: homes, classrooms, clinic waiting rooms, licensing files, household budgets, and long evenings when families are carrying too much. We value clarity over posture. If a piece cannot be useful to a mother and also stand up to a careful professional reader, it is not ready.
The Founder
Ms. BeBe is a grandmother of nine and came to the United States from Iraq under refugee circumstances. In Houston, she built and led a licensed childcare center while raising family through ordinary strain, paperwork, and responsibility.
She says it plainly: "Care is not a side topic in society. It is the floor people stand on." She writes from inside this life, not from commentary distance - she has built care, lived family hardship, endured real loss, and chosen to build again with discipline and public seriousness.
Editorial Principles
- Write from lived responsibility, not observation from a distance.
- Hold literary quality and practical usefulness to the same standard.
- Treat early care as shared civic reality, not private sentiment alone.
